First real post- yeay!
Okay, so a co-worker sent an e-mail to me and a few others about re-designing your workspace regularly with the intention of inspiring you. The wording went something like this:
Ways to Generate Creativity: Deliberately manipulate the physical and social environment. Redecorate your work space, put unusual objects on your desk. I think this is very plausible. I have noticed, often times, that I am more creative and inspired when I see something unusual or when I am in a place that feels fresh.
If we are sitting at a desk for 8 hours, especially in a cube, looking at the same things around us every day, it gets boring and monotonous. Keeping things different/having new surroundings in the work area just may be the ticket to more creativity. I already ran to Walmart and bought a whole bunch of newly designed stuff that I really like, for organizational purposes. The files and desk pad look great on my desk! They look very fresh.
Also, I came across some great sites through StumbleUpon that inspire me.
One is of stationary that is absolutely beautiful.

http://designerside.com/article/15-amazing-photoshop-text-effects and the last is a really fun one where all you do is draw with the mouse. You cannot click anywhere else. As soon as you go to the site, the canvas is the screen. Each time you click, a new color comes out. Very very cool and addictive, if you have the time to play with it.
